The Holistic Ghost
I’m Margie King and I am the Holistic Ghost.
My passion for writing genuine and effective internet marketing copy and content for holistic professionals was born of my own struggles in promoting my integrative health and nutrition services online.
I was struck by how inconsistent most marketing strategies and tactics were with my own message of deep reflection, self-care and personal integrity. Resolving that dilemma for myself led me to a strong desire to help other integrative practitioners do the same.
My own holistic practice
I understand holistic professionals. I spent years pursuing my own personal development before attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and opening my own online holistic health and wellness practice for midlife women.
But holistic health was a second career for me and I am now able to blend that passion with proven business success strategies thanks to my first career.
20 years as a lawyer
For the first 20 years of my working life, I was immersed in the world of finance, mergers and acquisitions, litigation and negotiations as a business lawyer. Thanks to that training, I bring to my copywriting practice some invaluable skills, like:
- Getting the facts right
- Doing the research
- Offering solid proof
- Making a persuasive argument
- Closing the deal
- Meeting deadlines
As a lawyer, I also learned to be an effective advocate for my client: to understand what my client wants, to identify what will best serve their interests, and to be an effective mouthpiece for their message.
But there's more.
Wharton M.B.A.
Along the way, while I was a practicing attorney, I obtained my M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. This formal Ivy League business training taught me about profits and losses, marketing plans, strategic planning, accounting, finance and business planning.
In short, I now have all the skills that are important to understand the big picture of your business, and the experience that makes me more than just a wordsmith.
But there is more.
Passion for Writing
Writing is my thing and has been since I was in fourth grade. I love to write. In the past 3 years alone, I have written close to 500 internet articles on holistic nutrition for Examiner.com as the Philadelphia Nutrition Examiner and the National Nutrition Examiner, as well as for EzineArticles.com, NaturalNews.com and GreenMedInfo.com. Before that I wrote several articles for the Wall Street Journal’s Employment Weekly publication.

Copywriting Training
In order to be the best copywriter possible, I invested in the top copywriting training in the country through American Writers and Artists Institute. I completed their Accelerated Six Figure Copywriting Course, attended their Bootcamp training and enrolled in their Circle of Success program for professional copywriters.
This training puts me squarely among the best copywriters in the industry.
